Who is God?

I always ask if there is a god and sometimes I wonder if anyone knows who is really god.  You mean someone who isn’t god wrote that bible and knew everything about the world and how god wanted his people to live their life?  I am an agnostic, you say.  I used to be an atheist for a little bit in my twenties.  Sometimes when I was little I would look up into the night sky and wonder if anyone is listening.  I would go, “If anyone is listening please help my family get to where they need to be,” or that I would say, “Help me find someone I could be with?”  I had always wanted the best for my family since we were poor, and I had always wanted to be with someone even though I was young and just a child. I didn’t want to be alone anymore.  A child at eight years old does know what love is because I witness my father and mother be with each other and they had us.  If I could see that through my parents, I would know that one day I would also find someone.  But I never had.  So I ask God, whoever that unknown powerful source was, that I may find someone.

When I meet Christians, they always ask what my belief system is, and I would tell them that my family grew up as Buddhists and we know no other religion.  Buddhism is actually a philosophy of life.  It’s about the truths of the world; it’s about compassion for another being, a living being, and understanding peace of mind.  When you meditate and reach enlightenment, you are to understand everything and forgive everything.   There are branches of Buddhism like Zen, Mahayana and Theravada.  I actually know somewhat about Buddhism but if I were to choose I would choose to be a Buddhist.  When you meditate, you train your mind to think positive and to condition yourself to breath in and out while being “mindful” of yourself and everything around you.  I have always wanted to take lessons into meditation but there are no Buddhist temples nearby that teach meditation.  Anyways, is there a god?

I feel there is some divine being higher than us, but we do not know whom God is.  Is it up to us to assume that the bible knows god, or that we have learned through generations of knowledge and wrote our understandings of the world that we taught those in our presence and those who will be born in the other generations about the right way to live? If the Bible says that Gays cannot be with us and go to heaven, then why do we have Gays and not just that, why do we have other religions, or people of differences as well?  If your God, a Christian God, is not considered to be everything known in this world, of which, he created everything in an instance, then why is it your right to deny others?  When I learned of Buddha, Buddha is in everything we see. Buddha is about acceptance, he tells his disciples to accept people. He is in the river, he is in the clouds, he is in the trees, he is the rocks and the soil, because if you are to forgive and understand everything, you would know Buddha.  But he does not consider himself a god, because he is just like us.  He allows people to challenge him, because he believes that people are curious and need the challenge.  This Christian god says to not challenge him, while Lucifer challenged him and was sent down to live in Eternal Hell.  I’m not sure how the Bible goes, but why do we have the devil?

It is the story of Good and Bad, Taoism.  Why we have polarity, opposites…  If we are to know Good, we must know Bad.  If we are to understand Love, we must know Hate.  Without Hate, we would be blind and go with Love, when we can’t understand why we Love, but we must understand why we do things, and this is why I question the Bible and if there is a God.   I question everything in this world, because the mind is allowed to assume, allowed to think, allowed to go into visions and think beyond ourselves, where we would have our out of the box theories.  If we are stuck thinking something for a long time, we will never progress, which is why I believe in Evolution.

So who is God?  I really don’t know because if there is a God and people knew that there was definitely a god, then we would have not gone down a destructive path where our world is going.  Maybe this God will show up and finally save us, and then and there I would say that there is a god.  Maybe we have control of our own destiny and am allowed to learn from our mistakes and repeat these mistakes until we finally understand that we no longer can go down a destructive path of destroying this world.  Maybe God will give another species a chance to evolve and make a difference in living on Earth.  If you are to say that God is not in Evolution, then you are saying that God is not everything if he is to reject certain things, certain people, when I know Buddha is in everything we see, hear, and touch.  Even though Buddha is not really a god, he has forgiven his enemies, and everything in this world.  When you find peace, you are calm within yourself and you will understand everything—the way the world works.

Anyways, I will go more into detail about Evolution another time…

I hope you have moment to think and understand what I am writing, enjoy your day!
