I, for one, love shopping at thrift stores. I particularly like fashion trends from the late 90s and early 2000s. It was during the time when cashmere sweater cardigans became more affordable. I, often, saw them in stores like Bebe and Arden B and then during the early 2000s, it became less elusive to find cashmere sweaters at lower prices. I also loved suiting skirts and suiting wide leg pants of this time. Fashion at this time seem to have better quality sold for the price the retailers were going for than fashion sold nowadays. You can probably find late 90s and early 2000s trends in thrift stores. The first poka-dotted blouse (peach color) at the top is made of silk and made by (vintage) Bebe, with 1/2 length bell sleeves. It is a wrap top with lace trimmings (kind of looks like outerwear lingerie). I love this top and have worn it once last month during a night out. I wore this top with a pair of dark washed, boot-legged jeans and a pair of shoe pumps. I kept it kind of casual. I think for this type of top, you would have to wear boot-legged or flared leg jeans. It actually made me look very lean and skinny (and I am medium build). The second picture of the black silk poka-dotted blouse is made by Forever 21 probably during the 90s. I was surprised that it was silk because Forever 21 rarely sells silk items but since this was old it was probably made during this time. I love this shirt because it reminds me of the 40s. It's button down blouse with a convertible collar and has short button ruffled sleeves. As you can see, it's a sheer blouse. I would keep this causual and wear jeans with it or keep it business like by wearing a pegged skirt with this blouse. I love them both. I usually thrift every month and when i can find vintage items, i become very elated!
